Overview
The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission to its flagship BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes. NLU Delhi is widely regarded as one of the premier law schools in India. Unlike CLAT, AILET is an independent exam conducted solely for NLU Delhi. The exam is highly competitive, with thousands of students competing for approximately 110 seats in the BA LLB (Hons.) programme. AILET tests candidates on English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning, and Mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria
For AILET UG (BA LLB Hons.)
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 12 (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
- Candidates appearing in Class 12 final exam are also eligible
- Maximum age limit: 20 years as on July 1 of the year of admission (22 years for SC/ST/PWD)
For AILET PG (LLM Programme)
- Candidates must hold an LLB degree (3-year or 5-year) from a recognized university
- Minimum 55% marks in LLB (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
- Candidates in the final year of LLB are also eligible to apply
- Maximum age limit: 30 years (35 years for SC/ST/PWD)
