Overview

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for undergraduate admissions to central universities and participating institutions across India. For law aspirants, CUET UG is the gateway to LLB programmes at several prominent central universities including Banaras Hindu University (BHU), University of Delhi (DU), Jamia Millia Islamia, and many others. The exam includes domain-specific subjects and a general test. Law aspirants typically appear for Legal Studies or a relevant domain paper along with the Language test and General Test.

Eligibility Criteria

For CUET UG (Undergraduate LLB / BA LLB)

  • Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination
  • Minimum marks requirement varies by university — generally 45%–50% in Class 12
  • No specific upper age limit set by NTA for CUET UG; individual universities may set age limits
  • Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the specific university they are applying to
  • Candidates from all streams (Science, Commerce, Arts) are eligible

Marking Scheme
